YOU ARE CORDIALLY INVITED TO AN OUR COURTS SPEAKER TRAINING 

Become a volunteer speaker for the nationally recognized Our Courts civics education program, sponsored by the Colorado Bar Association and the Colorado Judicial Institute. Since 2007, Our Courts volunteer speakers have presented, free of charge, more than 600 programs to over 25,000 people throughout Colorado. For those who would like to volunteer to present these programs, or to learn more about the Our Courts program, we will be providing free speaker training at the CBA offices on Friday, September 13, 2024 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Here are the details:

Draft Agenda: 

• Introduction to the Our Courts program 
• Concurrent Breakout Sessions to demonstrate the Our Courts US and State Courts Serving Colorado and An Introduction to US Immigration Courts presentations, followed by Q&A 
• Guidance on handling questions, including ethical considerations 
• Procedures and practices for presentation preparation
• Distribution of Our Courts speakers guides

Our Courts is a joint activity of the Colorado Bar Association and the Colorado Judicial Institute designed to provide nonpartisan information programs to further public knowledge and understanding of the state and federal courts in Colorado.
